We all have something that we’re dealing with that can seem heavy at times. Sometimes it’s just the day in and day out routines of life.  Other times it’s specific challenges as we move forward in our journey.  These trials can also provide opportunities to learn, grow and become stronger. The difficulty is not only the load but how we choose to carry it.  In these works on paper, I strive to embrace the idea of a positive determination to see challenges, difficulties and trials as part of life’s journey and an opportunity for personal reflection and growth.

This work on is a monotype print part of the ‘weight we carry’ series. This relates to coming to terms with learning to deal with difficult things and finding strength by connecting with others in hard times.

These images are meant to be positive. The background colors are not constrained by the boundary of the lines. The colors attempt to reflect the strength, beautify and joy one can have even admit challenges. These works seek to reflect gracefully keeping ones' balance and moving forward in life even while bearing the weight of difficulties.
