“The Weird Cartoons, Kitsch and Culture of Low Brow Art” will take place at the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Gallery at our South City campus from January 16 – February 21. Art drop off will be Jan. 14. The opening reception will be Jan 16.

The exhibit will feature (mostly) local artists who work in styles related to cartoons and other sequential art (comic books, graphic novels, Manga, etc.), also graffiti, tattoos, Naïve / Outsider Art and similar themes in an attempt to highlight, elevate, and create a dialogue around artforms that have been traditionally looked down upon in the fine art world … with an emphasis on the weird.
